“What will you create today?” is the tagline for materials related to The Power of TED* (*The Empowerment Dynamic) – Revised & Updated. (An acknowledgement and tip of the walking stick to TED* Team member, Debbie Hulbert, for first suggesting it!)

The fact is that you cannot not create! The real question is this: are you creating consciously and deliberately or by default and unconsciously?

What we create is that which remains in the wake of our choices and interactions with others.  There are two main arenas in which we make choices.  One is the choices we make about where we put our focus and attention.  In the reactive Victim Orientation, problems dominate.  As we adopt a Creator Orientation, he focus mainly on the vision and outcome(s) we choose to create.  The other arena in which we make choices is how we respond to the situations we face in the course of a day – how we “play the hand we are dealt.”

A Victim merely reacts – and, as a result, may also adopt either a Persecutor or Rescuer role.  (To see which role you tend to adopt when under stress and “going reactive,” take our new, fun quiz on Facebook: http://apps.facebook.com/whatns-your-s-bcjjje/?start=1&target=home.)

A Creator is able to pause and choose their response to the situation at hand.

Our interactions with others also has a great influence on what we create.  If our interactions are rooted in the Dreaded Drama Triangle (DDT), we will create more drama in our lives.  If we choose to cultivate TED* (*The Empowerment Dynamic) and its roles of Creator, Challenger and Coach, we dramatically increase the probability of creating the outcomes that matter most to us – and to those with whom we co-create.

As you consciously attend to your choices and interactions, what will you create today?
